How we empower youth and farmers while ensuring quality coffee production

Our Innovative Approach

At Roy Coffee Processors and Exporters Co Ltd, we employ a model that brings together youth and small holder farmers in youth cohorts and farmer groups respectively.

This Model is what empowers youth farmers and small holder coffee farmers and also enables us to source high quality coffee beans while creating opportunities for the youth as well as offering competitive prices for the farmers coffee.

We've developed a unique approach to coffee processing that benefits all stakeholders in the value chain.

Youth Cohort Formation

We organize youth into cohorts (6 males, 4 females) in each sub-parish to work directly with coffee farmers.

Farmer Group Organization

Each youth cohort establishes a farmer group of 100 farmers in their sub-parish for collective support and market access.

Training & Development

Farmers receive training on good agricultural practices, financial literacy, and sustainable farming techniques.

Support Services

We provide fertilizer credit, SACCO financial services, and subsidized hulling to improve farmer outcomes.

Market Access

Farmers gain access to competitive markets, ensuring fair prices for their coffee.

Quality Control Process

Quality is at the heart of everything we do at Roy Coffee. Our rigorous quality control process ensures that only the finest coffee beans make it into our products.

We work closely with farmers to implement good agricultural practices, ensuring proper harvesting and post-harvest handling techniques. Our technical team regularly visits farms to provide guidance and monitor quality.

At our processing facilities, we conduct thorough quality checks, including moisture content testing, bean size grading, and cupping to ensure that every batch meets our exacting standards.
